Handheld skin colormeter featuring multiple color systems !
It takes advantage of the latest developments in color sensing technology. Developed in close cooperation with ChberDerm Inc., USA, it offers color measurement in a number of different color systems including CIEI*a*b and erythema/melanin dediated to skin applications.
The device is fully self-contained and battery operated with backlit LCD display and controlled by just two buttons.
Colometer offers a new and innovative approach to color measurement.
It provides a cable connected measuring head for optimal flexibility, and the design of the optics ensures minimal sensitivity to ambient light conditions.
This design also allows for a clear front piece, with combined with guiding illumination facilitates positioning of the measuring head.
As standard the device offers read-out of erythema and melanin based on the light absorption characteristics of human skin, CIEI*a*b valus and RGB by the push of one button.
With the optional LabView based application software package the unit may be connected to a PC via the built in USB port in order to import data directly into Excel spreadsheets.

Special lens arrangement focuses on the target area and highly reduces the influence of ambient light.
Providing easy selection of different color systems, and calibration by using the supplied calibrator is done in senonds.
Probe is equipped with a guiding light, which illuminates the measurement target prior to taking the reading.
Measurement are presented on the backlit LCD display as well as on the built in USB connector facilitating connection to an external PC.
Two AA batteries providing over 20H of continuous operation.
Application
The measurement of color has widespread industrial applications(Coatings, Plastics, Printing, Textile, Automobile industry) as well as applications related to skin and testing of skin care products.
In its standard configuration, the instrument features E&M (erythema & melanin), CIE-Lab (WLED optimized) and RGB.
Industrial configuration with RGB, CIE-Lab, XYZ, CMYK and Hunter-Lab color spaces.
